Searching and Applying for Employer Vacancies

Competition for places can be fierce, so you will need to show that you are committed and understand your responsibilities - to both yourself and the company that employs you. Responsibilities typically relate to good time-keeping, maintaining enthusiasm, working hard and effectively (as an individual or member of a team), using your initiative, using any tools or equipment correctly, and helping to safeguard the reputation of their business.

Bolton College can advise you on your job search, which may include writing a CV and a covering letter, filling in an application form or preparing for an interview. Some employers ask us to shortlist for them and we’ll invite potential candidates along for an initial interview.
