From May 2017 the Government is making it possible for Higher Education students to be able to undertake an Apprenticeship once they have finished their studies.
Some funding restrictions apply though and so we have highlighted below the legislation guidelines that are currently in place:
The Government will fund an apprentice to undertake an apprenticeship ‘at the same or lower level than a qualification they already hold’ if the apprenticeship will allow the individual to acquire substantive new skills. The learning provider/employer/learner must be able to provide evidence that the content of the training (modules and units) is materially different from any prior qualification or a previous apprenticeship.
