Reflexology Diploma Level 3

  • Overview of the course

    Complementary Therapy has been a growing industry over the past 20 years being recognised for its involvement in maintaining good health and helping individual with varied disorders and stresses of life.

    This course will provide you with knowledge of the principles of reflexology and how to practice reflexology in a commercial setting. You'll learn the theory behind reflexology, how to deal with clients and how to plan effective treatments. You will also learn how to reflect upon the outcomes of a treatment, provide aftercare and offer a series of treatments to achieve a desirable result.

    Complementary has been recognised by the National Health Service and a lot of the treatments are offered by NHS. The course is a QCF recognised qualification. This Diploma enables you to practice as a therapist and supports the acquisition of public liability insurance. The course is comprehensive in its delivery of both theory and practical elements. Within the course you will need to complete case studies, assignments and exams.

  • Entry requirements

    You need to show good communication skills and life skills.

    A good general education is essential for this demanding course.

    An excellent level of English is required. You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will be assessed through assignment work, question papers and practical assessments. The assessment process consists of Health & Safety/Anatomy & Physiology- external written exam.

    Your practical skills will be assessed within a salon environment.

    The practical module requires you to complete case studies at home. It is your responsibility to document, evidence and provide your own clients for these. Case studies are an invaluable way to see how each therapy works at aiding health & wellbeing and will be marked as evidence criteria for the practical unit.

    The course begins in September and finishes in July.

    Tuition and certification are free if you are aged 16-18 years old. Related additional costs may include visits and extra external professional development courses, which are payable by all students.

    The Complementary industry has an accepted dress code and all students will be expected to comply with these standards of dress when working in the salon. No jewellery or acrylic nails are allowed by the exam board.

    Professional work wear will include a black tunic (approx. £29) and full smart full-length black trousers and black full shoes.

    You will purchase the stationery and file kits at approximately £6.

    As part of your practical assessments, you will perform practical treatments on clients. Learners will be equally responsible for providing clients and they will incur a college fee, with discounted rates for friends and family. You will be required to carry out treatments on clients, this is an awarding body requirement.

    You will be expected to have a minimum of 90% attendance and all absences must be explained to your tutor with medical evidence if there is more than one week of absence.

    Tuition Fee: £2882.00
    You can opt to pay these fees in monthly instalments. However, this is currently only possible by enrolling on campus.

    Coronavirus Update


    In response to the COVID-19 situation we have made a number of changes to our traditional admissions and enrolment processes.
    Most conditional offers and enrolments are currently being processed based on the information available to us at the time of a telephone interview and/or online enrolment.
    Once a course starts and we are able to meet with learners in person we may need to alter the class an individual attends if they do not meet the course entry requirements. We will keep learners informed of any decision to alter their class and support them through any changes necessary.

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):

    Studying at College
