    This course is accredited by the professional awarding body ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) and covers both the micro weft and plait weave technique. It is delivered in our state of the art Hairdressing studios at our Deane Road Campus.
  • What you'll learn

    The application and removal of micro weave and plait weave hair extensions.
    There will be a demonstration from a industry professional and time to practice the technique on a model or a head block. A full hair extension kit and detailed manual is included in the cost of this course for you to take home.
    Covering consultation, colour matching, health and safety, application, blending using cutting techniques, aftercare, maintenance and removal
  • Entry requirements

    Assessment will be on models or mannequin heads. The trainer will observe your skills and give you feedback which will allow you to improve and perfect your new techniques
  • How will I be assessed?

    Please come to class wearing smart clothing and closed toe shoes.
    If English is your second language, you will need to hold a Entry 3/ Level 1 or2 qualification.
    A head block will be provided to use on the day.

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, please call our helpline on 01204 482 000.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must bring their qualification certificates with them to enrolment. Learners will not be able to enrol without this information. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one you need):
    If you are unable to provide certificates you will be asked to complete a self declaration form when you enrol.
