Foundation Learning offers new opportunities with smaller class sizes, an informal approach to teaching and focused support for students with additional needs. Our aim is to help students develop a range of important skills - social, academic and vocational - whilst providing the support and encouragement for them to grow in confidence and express their personality.
Our programmes aim to help you progress into independent living, further education and training or employment. You'll get to sample different vocational course areas before choosing the right one for you. Our Foundation Learning areas are:
Provides the opportunity for learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to progress their life experience, confidence and maths and English. This is achieved through further learning, developing independence and completing work experience. The programmes focus on developing employability skills, independence, maths and English, and enterprise skills. Embedded in the programmes are vocational tasters, enrichment activities and a work experience placement.

Our courses are practical and include work experience. They provide flexible pathways that can lead on to a full-time vocational programme at College or into voluntary/paid employment.
