Apprenticeship Recruitment Event (Year 11s only)

Are you in year 11 and thinking about doing an apprenticeship after you leave school? Or do you simply want to know more about your options?

Your first step to becoming an Apprentice with Bolton College is to attend one of our recruitment events.  The events will run in the early evening so they won’t disrupt your school day. We’ll provide you with some refreshments when you arrive and you should be on your way home no later than 7.15pm.

During the event we will talk to you about the process of becoming an Apprentice including:

  • What an Apprenticeship actually is and why it may be the right option for you
  • Preparing your stand-out CV
  • Looking and applying for Apprenticeship jobs
  • How you will be assessed so we know what level is right for you
  • What time you are likely to spend in College
  • How important Maths and English are when starting on your successful career path

There will be lots of staff, and past and present Apprentices, here to answer all of your questions.  We will also interview you to find out more about your preferred profession, your skills and qualifications and why you want to be an Apprentice.

Your parent/carers are welcome to attend this event but they will not usually be allowed in to your interview.  We advise you to either wear your school uniform or dress smart casual (no jeans or trainers please).  If you already have a CV, please bring it with you.  You will also need to bring your existing and/or predicted GCSE grades.

Please note that to attend this event, you will need to register your attendance via the 'BOOK NOW' button on this page.
