Introduction to Working in a Beauty Salon Level 1

This course is designed for learners that have an interest in developing their skills regarding Working in a Beauty Salon.

101- Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector
102- Presenting a Professional image
One additional unit will be included which could be Manicure, Pedicure or Nail art

Learners must demonstrate a commitment to learn and have the appropriate life skills. You must have good communication skills.
You will need to be over 19 years of age to attend this course. The Beauty industry has an accepted dress code and all students will be expected to comply with these standards of dress when working in the Beauty Salon. No jewellery or acrylic nails are allowed.
You will be required to carry out treatments on your peers.
You will be expected to have a minimum of 95% attendance and all absences must be explained to your tutor

Observation of practical treatments taught.
Completion Of individual learning Plans.
Completion of assignments for each unit

You will be required to have good attendance that meets a minimum of 90% positive attendance

Learners can progress onto further courses in Make Up or Beauty Therapy. There are also many short Income Generation courses that would be very exciting to attend including Nail Art, Make-up, Introduction to Body Massage, and many more.

You can opt to pay these fees in monthly instalments. You can set this up during the enrolment.

Assessment

All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

Financial

You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

Adult Learners

Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):
