    This course is a ten week course that introduces you to the structure of early years settings and the workforce. You will learn about the different approaches to early years education, the management structure and learning and development. You will gain an insight to the role of the early years practitioner. You will gain the knowledge and understanding of what is required to work within the early years sector.

  • What you'll learn

    You will learn about the staffing structure of early years settings and the requirements of the early years workforce. You will learn about the different settings and how they embed early years education. You will learn how to answer assessment criteria to meet the requirements for CACHE NCFE - The awarding body.
  • Entry requirements

    You will need to have completed the Find Out About Early Years five week RARPA course to join this course. This will equip you with the knowledge appropriate for a level 1 award. It is also advised that you have some experience with children, however this is not mandatory.
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will complete three units that will be assessed by your tutor. Each unit has an assessment booklet for you to complete at the end of each unit. You will be given feedback on how to further improve your learning journey.

    You must have good attendance on this course to ensure you are able to meet the assessment criteria for each unit.

    After completing this course you will progress on to the Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner. This is a UK recognised qualification that will allow you to work in Early Years settings.

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):
