CACHE, Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education - the leading provider of qualifications for those with careers in care and education in the UK, have recently recognised Bolton College for providing learners with a range of progression opportunities within Childcare programmes.
CACHE cast their spotlight on our learner Megan Large, who progressed from the Level 1 Childcare Qualification to Level 2 and then Level 3 - receiving the support required from her tutors to achieve higher grades as she continued her studies.
Megan praised the placements aspect of the Childcare programmes as it helped her gain insight into the real world of work.
Jennifer Coke, Programme Leader of Early years at Bolton College, spoke to CACHE about the benefits qualification such as Childcare have on enabling learners to become work place ready as they gain experience of interviews, participation in work experience and leave with a portfolio of work they have completed alongside certificates of achievement - giving students an edge against other job applicants in the industry!
