So, what does a Computing & IT Apprenticeship involve?

You might find yourself creating and maintaining software and systems or solving problems with technology usage. There are an increasing number of tech start-ups providing a range of IT services which you might find yourself working for, or you could even work as an IT professional in other sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, the public sector or retail. Your Apprenticeship could lead to a career as a:

• Web / Software Developer
• Computer Programmer
• Network Manager
• Games Designer
• Systems Analyst
• App Developer
• IT Service Engineer
• Web Designer

 

Once qualified you could expect to earn between £21,000 - £55,000, depending on the route you choose to take.

 

If you'd like to continue studying after your Apprenticeship, you could progress to a Computing  programme at the University of Bolton.
