This Apprenticeship provides the enhanced skills, good knowledge and competence required of a Data Technician. The majority of the units covered can be
adapted to your specific job role and responsibilities.

The course is a great way to build on your skills and gain a recognised qualification whilst also earning a salary.

• Python Fundamentals
• Practical skills include: Excel, Python and SQL

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will have a greater understanding of your business and its data, being able to collect, prepare, analyst and model data across various platforms.

You will have the ability to effectively communicate and present data insights to support the wider business. The skills you will gain will help you to drive efficiency by using basic algorithms to understand errors, omissions and/or quality issues with production or service levels, supporting your business in gaining a competitive edge.

5 GCSEs (minimum grade 4) or equivalent which must include English & Maths or other relevant qualifications or experience.

Throughout the course you will be collecting evidence to demonstrate and showcase the knowledge, skills and behaviours you have acquired whilst on programme.

In preparation for your final assessment (EPA) you will need to produce and complete the following:

• A summative portfolio of evidence.
• Completion of an external knowledge test.
• An external Interview.

These may include: Digital Higher Apprenticeships – Level 4, Digital HE BSc Hons degrees or Employment.
Following further study you could work as:
• An IT Support Technician, earning up to £35,000 a year
• An IT Service Engineer, earning up to £30,000 per year
• An IT Project Manager, earning up to £70,000 per year
