Taxi Driver English, Maths and Knowledge Assessments

    This is an English and maths assessment which, when passed, allows you to take the Taxi Knowledge Assessment. You will be assessed on your level of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English and also your maths skills.
  • What you'll learn

    The 'Screening' test consists of an English & maths test. You will complete both an English and maths paper and Speaking & Listening test in 90 minutes. In order to pass, you must be Entry 3 or above in English and you must get 35 out of 50 in the maths paper to pass.
  • Entry requirements

    You must be able to communicate in English.
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will have 90 minutes to complete one paper for English and one for Maths and also a Speaking & Listening test.
  • Is there anything else I need to know?

    Make sure you practise your English and maths before you come for the test. Once you have enrolled, you will receive an information pack via email.

    If you fail the English and maths test you will not be allowed to progress on to the Knowledge course and test and you will have to re-book both tests at the cost of £110.

    There is zero tolerance for cheating. If you’re caught cheating, you will be banned from taking the test again.

    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.
