Stained Glass Workshop

The stained glass workshop courses are designed to allow learners at a range of different levels to practice and develop their skills.
Running over periods of 10 weeks we can cover Tiffany style pieces, sun catchers, lampshades, traditional leaded lights, windows, door panels, glass painting and Kiln fired colours to fire the imagination.
The courses are suitable for anyone with the desire to make something beautiful.
No qualification at the end of it but a sense of achievement and something unique and beautiful to keep.

You need enthusiasm.
All the tools and equipment are supplied but you will need to order your own glass. I recommend a variety pack costing around £15 to get you started. But I will explain all that when you start.

This is a non accredited course.

You will be asked about your experience and about what you hope to achieve on the course in the first session. This means your tutor will be able to understand where you are starting from. Your tutor will photograph your work regularly and will give you verbal and written feedback about how you are doing. You will be able to discuss your work with the tutor and the group in the sessions and the tutor will regularly ask you about how you feel you are progressing

Assessment

All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

Studying at College

The health and safety of our learners and staff is still very important to us and so there may continue to be an element of study outside of the classroom during the, academic year. The proportion of these hours will depend on the individual qualification(s) being undertaken. You must do the work set during these times or it will impact your progress on the course and therefore your achievement.
