  • Overview of the course

    more less
This course is aimed at both new and returning learners and is intended to provide you with the skills to produce your own stained glass masterpiece. We will teach you the skills to cut coloured glass and then join the pieces together.
  • What you'll learn

    more less
You can expect to learn how to safely handle and cut glass, adapt a pattern or design your own project, be it a simple sun catcher, a lamp, a new window for your house or even how to repair an existing window.
  • Entry requirements

    more less
Enthusiasm is very important but so is a pair of safety glasses! If you have some horticultural glass please bring that along. This is the glass that greenhouses are glazed in. It is thin and cheap, old, broken picture frames also have suitable glass.
  • How will I be assessed?

    more less
    This is a non-accredited course.

You will be asked about you experience and about what you hope to achieve on the course in the first session. This means your tutor will be able to understand where you are starting from. Your tutor will photograph your work regularly and will give you verbal and written feedback about how you are doing. You will be able to discuss your work with the tutor and the group in the sessions and the tutor will regularly ask you about how you feel you are progressing.
