    The units you will cover include:
    • 401-Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector - This unit is about the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage to quality of client care within the hair and beauty sector. It covers evaluate client care procedures, the use of client feedback and the analysis of this, implementation and monitoring of quality management procedures and the evaluation of these.
    • 402-Salon management - This unit is about the knowledge and skills required for salon management. It covers planning management of products and services and salon management duties.
    • 408-Advanced Epilation Techniques - This unit is about the knowledge and skills required for Advanced Epilation techniques. It covers both the preparation and the provision of advanced epilation.
    • 409-Laser and light treatments for hair removal - This unit is about the skills and knowledge required for laser and light treatments for hair removal. It includes both the preparation and the provision of the treatment.
    • 411-Enhance appearance using micro-pigmentation - This unit is a preparation for work unit, which is based on capability, and knowledge. This unit is about enhancing the facial appearance using Micro-pigmentation. To carry out this unit the learner will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene procedures throughout their work. The knowledge and skills gained in this unit includes preparing for and provided Micro-pigmentation treatment.

    Learners must demonstrate a commitment to learn and have the appropriate life skills.

    You will need
    • Beauty Therapy Level 3

    Good dexterity skills are paramount and this will be with a skills test. You will need to enjoy working with other people and co-operate as part of a team. You need to be committed and keen to practice as you learn new skills. Entry is through a personal interview
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will be assessed via practical assessment and assignments, all your assessments will be graded pass, merit or distinction.

    The course lasts 35 weeks and begins in September.

    The Beauty industry has an accepted dress code and all students will be expected to comply with these standards of dress when working in the Beauty Salon. No jewellery or acrylic nails are allowed by the exam board. Professional work wear will include a black tunic (approx £29) and full smart full-length black trousers and black full shoes. You will purchase the stationary and file kits at approximately £6. Also you will need a kit that will be purchased from us, price TBC.

    You will be expected to have a minimum of 90% attendance and all absences must be explained to your tutor with medical evidence if there is more than one week of absence.

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):
