    Research shows that 82% of advertised jobs require some level of digital skills, with 75% of jobs by 2030 requiring advanced digital skills.

    This course aims to prepare students in using software that is regularly used in the work place and home life, including:
    - Microsoft word to create posters/ letters and professional documents
    - Microsoft PowerPoint to create professional presentations
    - Microsoft Excel to input data and create a spreadsheet
    - Outlook to send, receive and forward emails with attachments

    • Creating and editing – creating and editing documents and digital media, processing numerical data
    • Communicating – communicating, sharing and managing traceable online activities
    • Transacting – using online services, buying securely online
    • Being safe and responsible online – protecting privacy and data, being responsible online
  • Entry requirements

    You must have completed the Basic Digital skills course previously or already have some confidence in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook
  • How will I be assessed?

    There are three Exam components that must be passed to achieve the qualification.

    Question Paper Exam: 20 minutes covering theory questions
    Observtion task: Teacher observered task downloading and using an online digital platform
    Practical Task Exam: 1 hour 45 minutes practical tasks covering MS word, PP, Excel and outlook

    Assessment


    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.

    Financial


    You may not have to pay tuition fees at all, if you fall into one of the groups eligible for fee exemptions. If you feel you may be eligible or would like someone to explain course fees in more detail, pleasecontact us via our Live Chat service available on any page of our website.

    Adult Learners


    Adult learners (19+) must provide evidence of their existing qualification at enrolment. Learners may not be able to enrol if this information is not provided when requested. If you have lost any certificates please contact your school in the first instance. If they are unable to provide a copy, you can contact one of the following exam boards (your school will be able to tell you which one applies to the exams you took):
