MoreI’d heard good things about Bolton College so I decided to come here. I’m currently on a work placement at Bolton at Home, which I’m really enjoying; the College has been so supportive.
Painting & Decorating Level 1, Stephanie Marsh
I was apprehensive about coming back into education, but the course is structured so it’s really easy to understand and all the students share knowledge and help each other out. I’m really enjoying learning how to do something productive. I currently work in a Plumbers Merchant and the course has really helped me when serving customers. I’m hoping to enrol onto the Level 3 course next and then make a move into the trade and work as a plumber myself.
Chris O’Donoghue – Plumbing Level 2
The tutors make everything easy to understand and guide us through each module. As part of the course we had the opportunity to complete work experience, which helps us put our skills into practice and demonstrate to future employers what we’re capable of. I’d like to set up my own painting and decorating business in the future.
Damien Demiter – Painting and Decorating Level 2
I already have my plumbing qualifications but wanted to add to my skills by having a fully accredited gas qualification. The teachers are really good and always take the time to explain the topics in depth so we fully understand them. Once I’ve completed the Foundation course I want to progress to Level 1, 2 and 3 so I’m fully Gas Safe certified.
Damien Jones – Gas Foundation
I’ve worked in the construction industry for 12 years and want to better myself and improve my education and skills. The fantastic tutor support, along with the smaller class sizes, attracted me to Bolton College and I’m really enjoying the course. I’d like to complete my HNC in Civil Engineering next, then progress to University to study Project Management.
Joseph Billings – Professional Building Level 3
I was told that Bolton College was one of the best colleges in the area for Construction, and so far it’s meeting my high expectations. The College have helped me find a voluntary placement, which helps me to put the skills I’m learning at College into practice. I’m planning to complete my HNC qualification next and then get a training placement to help me decide whether to progress into building, surveying or project management within the Construction industry.
Natalie Morris – Construction and Professional Building Level 3
