British Sign Language Level 3: Skills and Education Group Awards

The Skills and Education Group Awards Level 3 Award in Signing and Receiving Skills in British Sign Language is designed to develop learners’ ability to communicate in the British Sign Language.

Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in BSL Linguistics and Grammar

This course is for anyone who has completed a Level 2 qualification in Sign Language

The Award is divided into three units to support production (Unit 1 – Express and Exchange Information), reception (Unit 2 – Receiving Skills), and the combination of the two afore mentioned skills (Unit 3 – Express and Exchange Opinions).

Enrichment will be part of the course such as seeing an interpreter at the theatre, a visit to the Deaf club, a visits from Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and Music and the Deaf.

Assessment

All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.
