Our IMI Body & Refinishing courses are accredited by the UK’s only awarding body that is 100% focused on the automotive industry. We offer a rare opportunity to be trained in fully-equipped workshops by qualified staff with wide-ranging trade and industrial knowledge. Our courses enable learners to demonstrate their competence to carry out work to a national standard.

Our courses will teach you how to work safely and effectively, prepare and apply paint to a car, carry out body repairs and form and join materials, plus so much more.

Completion of our courses could lead to work as a Dent and Panel Repair Technician, Accident Repair Technician, Vehicle Refinisher or Vehicle Coach Builder.

We have strong links with the University of Bolton's new £13 million National Centre for Motorsport Engineering, a leading light in motorsport performance engineering. Our learners enjoy masterclasses within the Centre and there are clear progression routes from our motor vehicle courses to programmes delivered by the Centre, leading to a career as a motorsport engineer, vehicle technician or classic car restorer.
