    This short course provides you with the information you need to pass the Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Taxi Knowledge Assessment.
  • What you'll learn

    You will have a 2 and a half hour presentation about customer service, taxi laws and conditions and Highway Code.
  • Entry requirements

    You will need to have passed the Screening (English & Maths) test before you can sit the Knowledge test. If you have not passed the Screening test then you cannot sit the Knowledge test.
  • How will I be assessed?

    You will complete a test which has four sections. The first section is compulsory and you must get 100% to pass. The second part is customer service, the third part is taxi laws and conditions and the fourth part is Highway Code. You must get 8 out of 10 marks to pass each section.
  • Is there anything else I need to know?

    Once you have enrolled, you will receive an information pack via email.

    There is zero tolerance for cheating. If you’re caught cheating, you will be banned from taking the test again.

    All learners will complete an individual learning plan which will be discussed with their tutor throughout the course.
