Bolton College arranges for Apprentice star to visit local schools

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, Bolton College arranged for The Apprentice’s Adam Corbally to visit more than a thousand pupils at local secondary schools.

Adam, who appeared in series eight of the show and was named by the Radio Times as the favourite Apprentice candidate of all time, is now a professional guest speaker, motivational coach and entrepreneur.

Joined by Bolton College’s Schools Co-ordinator, Ian Littlewood, Adam did a whistle-stop tour of seven local secondary schools, speaking to year 8, 9 and 10 pupils and discussing his unconventional and difficult route to commercial success.

Adam, whose mantra in life is ‘It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it’, said ‘Apprenticeships are a great way to move on in your career. It’s essential to have work ready skills, and an Apprenticeship can give you those skills.

Ian Littlewood, who regularly visits schools in his role, said ‘More and more pupils are choosing Apprenticeships. They are real alternative to A-Levels and full-time courses.

Adam continued his busy week after these visits – his next engagement was at the Macron Stadium, where he spoke to more than 1400 year 9 pupils about their future careers
