Do you have limited or minimal English language skills? Talk English offers ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes to people with low level English to support them with their language skills. The Talk English courses are taught by trained volunteers and can help you improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. The classes are also a great opportunity for you to meet new people and take part in fun activities to practise speaking English.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
We have many classes running around Bolton. To enquire about classes, please visit the Deane & Derby Community Learning Centre.
If you have a student or a client you would like to refer for Talk English classes, please get in touch with Sundus Ameer on Sundus.Ameer@boltoncc.ac.uk
Sundus Ameer is the Talk English Co-ordinator who will help you place the learners in a class which is appropriate for the learner.
If you're interested in gaining some teaching experience, or if you already have the teaching experience but would like to utilise your skills then you may be interested in volunteering for our Talk English classes. You'll receive training to teach English to our adult ESOL learners and have support in class at all times from a qualified teacher. We'll try and give you a placement as close to your home as possible and provide reimbursement for your travel expenses.
