Construction Multi-Skills sees adults learning the basics of four construction trades: plastering, bricklaying, carpentry and joinery and plumbing. 

Our latest cohort of students are just over halfway through their course, and were recently awarded certificates for completion of the bricklaying module, which saw them master some seriously impressive skills, including arches. 

Before moving on to the next trade, the students left feedback for our tutors. Michael Owen, who began the course in September, said: "This course has boosted my learning and confidence immensely. This is all thanks to the teaching skills, encouragement and inspiration of the tutors. 

"Nothing has been too much for them and their dedication and enthusiasm to help us achieve is wonderful - plastering tutors Ged and Mark, and bricklaying tutors John and Barry, are a credit to Bolton and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to pursue a career in these skills."

On completion of the course, many of the learners will progress to further study, specialising in the trade they enjoyed the most.
